We are overjoyed to start our second annual Healthy Minds Campaign! Thanks to the generosity of our community, last year we were able to raise a total of $60,140, which went directly towards serving patients through our Behavioral Health services. This year as we continue to focus on finding the right counselor to add to FCHC’s team, we want to use the campaign to help spread awareness of the resources available in our community. A mental health crisis can happen to anyone at almost any time. We want to do everything we can to properly equip our neighbors with the right resources for when they or someone they know may need them.
What this Campaign helps Accomplish
This year we hope to accomplish 2 major goals through our Healthy Minds Campaign:
Share community based resources that are available to anyone who needs them. We can’t know when a crisis will happen, but we can prepare for them. By simply having access to the crucial phone numbers below, you can potentially save another persons life or your own when crisis strikes.
Raise funds for our Behavioral Health and Health-Bridge Programs that directly support people in our community who are struggling with their mental health. Through the Behavioral Health Program, FCHC is provide both Case Management and Psychiatry services, and later will continue our Counseling Program. By also supporting Health-Bridge, the campaign allows us to provide primary medical care to patients receiving intensive mental health care through one of FCHC’s partners.
These funds will help us bridge that gap and provide essential services to more individuals like Baily, who have benefited greatly from our continuous support through their mental health challenges.
Baily’s Story
Baily* is a 47-year-old with multiple mental health problems from years of physical and emotional abuse. Baily has been living in a motel for over a year with her husband, receiving financial support from their church as she was unable to work. She was experiencing domestic abuse but wasn't ready to leave, but was receiving services from Empower House. Through the FCHC Health-Bridge program, Baily was able receive medical care at Empower House which lead to receiving counseling through FCHC.
For the first time in her life, Baily felt like someone was listening to her. She expressed that she felt heard by everyone she interacted with at FCHC, from the front desk, to the medical team, and the behavioral health team. Thank you for helping us make an impact in Baily’s life and please join us as we continue to keep her in our prayers.
