Spiritual Care
Faith-Based Whole-Person Care at FCHC
At Fredericksburg Christian Health Center, we believe that true healing goes beyond just physical health—it includes caring for the mind and spirit as well. Your emotional and spiritual well-being are deeply connected to your physical health. Anxiety and depression can manifest in physical symptoms, just as illness and pain can impact your mood and outlook on life.
Health challenges often raise profound spiritual questions. A survivor of a heart attack may reflect on eternity. A woman facing cancer may struggle with God’s goodness—or find deeper peace in her faith. A couple navigating infertility may wrestle with questions about prayer and purpose. At FCHC, we recognize these moments and offer space for spiritual conversations, encouragement, and prayer.
Our team takes the time to listen, support, and pray with our patients. Every year, we provide nearly 900 opportunities to offer spiritual care through prayer, testimony, and encouragement. Volunteer chaplains are also available to pray with patients, facilitate support groups, and visit those in need.
Because faith is central to our mission, our staff also dedicates time to spiritual growth. Every Thursday, we take an extended lunch break for Bible study and prayer, reopening at 1:30 PM. We also hold an annual staff retreat and participate in the Christian Community Health Fellowship conference.
At FCHC, we believe in the power of prayer and the grace of God in all circumstances. Whether through medical care, counseling, or prayerful support, our goal is to bring hope and healing to every patient we serve.
